Who We Are
Ann Ribolini, Ph.D., founded Copper Beech Montessori in 1985 and she remains its Director and owner. The faculty (12 teachers) is ethnically diverse, beautifully reflecting the makeup of its urban community, Jamaica Plain (a residential area of Boston). The children are drawn from the surrounding Boston neighborhoods. The diversity of ethnicity, economic status, and family types is a magnet for families wanting that particular enrichment for their young children. The families of Copper Beech include biracial couples, same sex couples, single parents, adoptive parents, and grandparents. Many languages are spoken in the homes, reflecting the international appeal of Montessori.
Copper Beech is an AMS affiliated school.
