What We're Working On ... Cob Structures!

Cob is made by combining clay (usually in the form of clay soil), aggregate (very small rocks and sand), water, and straw. We are using it to build some structures for the children because it is so moldable and the ingredients are inexpensive. The labyrinth we made is our first attempt at building with cob and we know now we have more to learn. We may attempt a cob oven for firing pottery and/or baking bread. Keep tuned in for further developments.
